Pakistan Railways Announces Four Special Eid Trains to Facilitate Holiday Travelers

Pakistan Railways has announced the operation of four special trains ahead of Eid to help manage the surge in passengers traveling across the country during the festive season. The additional train services aim to make travel easier for thousands of people returning to their hometowns to celebrate Eid with family and friends.

According to railway officials, the first special train will depart from Lahore to Karachi on March 16. The train will travel through several cities, including Okara, Sahiwal, and Khanewal, providing passengers from multiple regions with convenient travel options.

The second special train is scheduled to leave Quetta for Rawalpindi on March 17. Along its route, the train will pass through Sukkur, Rahim Yar Khan, Khanewal, and Lahore, connecting major cities and improving travel access for passengers during the busy Eid period.

On the same day, March 17, Pakistan Railways will also run a third special train from Karachi to Peshawar. The fourth and final special train will depart from Karachi to Lahore on March 18, further expanding travel options for people heading to northern and central parts of the country.

Railway authorities say the initiative is designed to accommodate the large number of travelers who prefer train journeys during major holidays. Special train services are commonly introduced during peak travel seasons such as Eid to reduce overcrowding on regular trains and ensure smoother and more comfortable travel between major cities.

By launching these additional services, Pakistan Railways aims to improve passenger convenience and ensure that more people can reach their destinations safely and on time for the upcoming Eid celebrations.
